Our CT high schools had some of the highest FAFSA completion rates in the state!

Some big changes for the FAFSA for SY2022-23:

Check out this article from Forbes, and this presentation from FSA with more detail on what's changing. Shout out to Attallah & Kathryn for sharing!

Congratulations to the Class of 2021!

TOP 5 Tools FOR TC&C

  1. Padlet. Basically a virtual post-it board! You can make posts anonymous, open it to anyone, color-code, and customize. If you are brainstorming with a group, Padlet is a great option.

  2. Support team emails. If you email Data Support or IT Support, our teammates on S&D can help you answer or fix almost anything! Just remember that the data email is for information needs, and IT for technology needs.

  3. Slack. Originally, it was primarily for Network Support staff, but now that we're remote, AF has a premium account that anyone can join. You can use it to instant message your coworkers (almost) anything. Download the desktop app here, sign up here and join some channels!

  4. Pocket. You're probably not printing as much as you used to! If you have a ton of bookmarks or articles to go back to, Pocket can help you keep track, highlight, and archive, almost like having paper copies! It also helps you get around paywalls like on the NYT website.

  5. Calendly. Put some of the onus on others to seek out the help they need, and share your availability with this appointment scheduling app!

  6. Airtable. If you don't have time to learn formulas, but still need to take advantage of a spreadsheet format, Airtable is super easy to use, customizable, and mostly free.

  7. Coda. This one has a slightly bigger learning curve, but if you're a visual/spatial thinker, it's worth it. Coda has the same features as One Note, but much cleaner. It's great for brainstorming, planning, and note-taking.
